Destination : Cochin - Thekkedy - Periyar - Munnar
Day
01 - Arrive Cochin
Morning: On arrival in Cochin, assistance at airport / train station and
transfer to hotel. Later enjoy a short guided city tour of Cochin and attend
the Kathakali dance. Overnight in Cochin
Day 02 - Cochin - Periyar (Thekkedy)
Drive to Periyar Tiger Reserve. Lunch enroute at a Plantation Bunglow. On
arrival in Periyar transfer to Camp. Overnight in Camp
Day 03 & 04 - In Periyar
Trekking through the forest of Thekkedy. Likely to see elephant, Gaur,
Sambar, Wild Boars. May see Sloth Bear, Panther and tiger. Overnight in Camp
Day 05 - Periyar - Munnar
Drive to Munnar, a hill station at an altitude of over 5000ft. On arrival
in Munnar, camping site at a private forest. Rest of the day free. Overnight
in Camp
Day 06 & 07 - In Munnar
Proceed for trekking and camping near Munnar to Silent Valley Plateau at
over 4000ft, through the ruggedly beautiful grassland. Overnight in Camp
Day 08 - Drive to Cochin
Depart to Cochin for onward destination.
