The Leaning Tower of Pisa
This monument is among others Piazza dei Miracoli" that will
surely stir your imagination.The top of the Leaning Tower can be reached by
mounting the 294 steps which rise in the form of a spiral on the inner side
of the tower walls. A Romanesque style architecture, it dates back to
1174.Cylindrical in shape it is supplied whit six open galleries that are
separated by a cornice that separates these galleries one from the other and
each presents a series of small arches fitted on the capitals of the slender
columns.
Monte Argentario
It is a beach front heaven and is a popular summer destination for Romans
and Tuscans. The magnificent rock formation juts skywards and is off the
coast of southern Tuscany. This region includes Porto Ercole, Porto Santo
Stefano and Orbetello and across the harbor on the mainland.
Positano
Positano is the most popular excursion that attracts millions of tourists
every year. It is an old coastal village that dates back to the 10th century
and was once the chief seaport for trade with the Middle East. It has also
been a muse to countless artists whove come to her for inspiration.
Lake Garda
Lake Garda is the largest lake in Italy and waters the fertile plains of
Lombardy and the Veneto in the south. It expands to the Alps and the lakes
shores are beautiful with lush greenery and exotic flowers.
Dolomites
The Dolomite Mountains are dramatic, majestic and overwhelming with the
eastern Alps meeting them. Eastern Dolomites are coral formations that were
under an ancient seabed. Most of the Dolomites, belongs to Austria but were
handed over to Italy after World War I.
Botanic Gardens of Padua
The Botanic Gardens of Padua has a beautiful dwarf palm that belongs to the
16th century. Visiting this place, one can have a look at the endangered
local flora and also visit the laboratories where research is carried out to
ensure that traditional plant wealth is preserved for the coming
generations.
