Located in the heart of the city, Alsisar Haveli brings to life the
grandeur of old Rajput days and the memorable regal of Rajasthani experience
for the guests. The history of this haveli dates back to the 18th century
and symbolizes the finesse of traditional Rajput architecture. Built in the
year 1892, it has a large elevated platform that dominates the central area
of the ground floor, which was once used for get-together by the gentlemen
of the house. This platform is now used for hosting puppet shows and folk
dances for guests. Alsisar Haveli is also known for its wall frescos with
Alsisar Mahal showcasing the rich heritage of the Shekhawati region of
Rajasthan. Extreme care was taken while refurbishing so as to maintain the
original glory of the place.
The magnificent architecture of Alsisar Mahal and the splendidly decorated
interiors are as unique and captivating as its history. The walls of this
haveli incorporate traditional wall painting with the use of vivid colours
and patterns. The expansive paved courtyards, well trained lawns and time
aged trees also lend a distinctive character that enchants the visitor. Now
a luxurious hotel, the spacious lobby now opens into a chowk or
inner courtyard, which was initially used by ladies of the house. The
luxurious 47 hotels of the hotel have been given the look that were used by
the Thakurs of Alsisar. Antique furniture and medieval Rajasthani
style-fabrics that charmingly enhance the Rajasthani experience.
